A grouping of Malaysian Environmental NGOs (MENGO) was formed under the DANIDA-supported programme for environmental assistance to Malaysia. DANIDA is the Danish International Development Assistance. The Mengo coalition was formed in November 2001.

‘Death Box’ Campaign
This campaign was held to create the awareness of Malaysian people on the danger of using styrofoam or also known as polystyrene. Most of us are not aware of the harmful effects of polystyrene/ styrofoam.
This campaign was done to educate Malaysian people to be aware on the effects of styrofoam. It is our responsibility to make Malaysian people have in-depth understanding on the danger especially for the environment and health. By making a change, we can safe the environment.
